I’m an MNCPS accredited psychodynamic counsellor and NCPS registered relationship therapist, specialising in relationships, self-worth and the patterns that can keep us stuck.
I’ve experienced first-hand how difficult relationships can be, how easy it is to lose yourself in them, and how hard it can be to understand why you keep repeating the same patterns.
Therapy helped me make sense of what was going on underneath the surface, understand my own patterns and boundaries, and ultimately make different choices to become happy, and in turn attain and maintain a happy relationship.
That experience led me to train as a counsellor and specialise in relationship therapy. Today, I work with individuals and couples who want to understand themselves and all the different relationships in their lives better — to create something healthier.
How I work:
I’m warm, honest and non-judgemental, but I won’t just tell you what you want to hear.
I believe therapy is about getting curious about what’s really going on underneath the surface. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, beliefs and relationship patterns, and how these might be influencing the way you think, feel and behave today.
I won't tell you what to do or make decisions for you because what I would do, would be different to what you would. But we would work together to help you understand yourself better, to make choices that feel right for you.
Sometimes that work can be uncomfortable. But understanding ourselves gives us the opportunity to choose differently and build a life we want.
Why relationship therapy:
We all want to feel love. But unfortunately, it can also bring out our deepest insecurities, fears and patterns.
Maybe you keep having the same arguments. Maybe you struggle to set boundaries. Perhaps you keep choosing similar relationships, feel disconnected from your partner, or find yourself wondering “Why does this keep happening?”
These are the things I’m interested in.
I work with both individuals and couples - whether you’re struggling in your relationship, trying to reconnect, navigating a difficult decision, questioning whether you’re with the right person, recovering from infidelity or simply wanting to understand your own relationship patterns.
Sometimes therapy is about working on the relationship.
Sometimes it’s about understanding yourself.
And sometimes it’s about both.
I believe that healthier, more fulfilling relationships are possible - but they start with understanding ourselves.
A little bit about me:
I love everything about therapy. Being in it, reading about it, writing about it and, of course, being a therapist myself.
I totally get the journey. I know it’s not always easy, and it’s definitely not always fun. But having done the work myself, I absolutely know it’s worth it.
I don’t really remember life without therapy. My mum was a psychotherapist, and from the age of 11 I had access to a whole library of psychology and therapy books. So, technically, I’ve had 44 years of ongoing training!
Outside of therapy, I’m a Mum and a wife. I love dogs, a nice glass of wine and I live to laugh (because honestly, that’s what gets me through this weird thing we’re all living called life). I should add I hate exercise, but I know it’s good for me, and my motto is:
“I can do hard things.”
